Joyful Generosity
Have you ever felt uncomfortable when “money” or “giving” is talked about at church? You are not alone. There are very few topics about which we are more reticent to share with other believers than the topic of how we handle our personal finances. And yet, Jesus spoke frequently on the subject. Perhaps this is because He knows how money can uniquely displace God as the focus of our lives (Matt 6:24). Given this danger, we have an urgent need to hear from God’s Word about how to steward the resources that He gives to us.
Join us this Sunday as we talk about “Becoming A Generous Church” from 2 Corinthians 9:6-15. Take a few moments to read the text sometime in the next couple days. And don’t worry, we won’t be taking up a special offering on Sunday. You will not be arm-twisted to give. Instead, we’ll explore how God brings transformation through our giving. An exciting adventure awaits. I’ll see you then.
For His Glory,
Pastor Eric
